Functional benefits
Why roo
earns its place.
Kangaroo is one of the most nutrient-dense proteins available — lean, iron-rich, and almost unheard of in commercial dog diets. That last part is the point: if your dog has never been exposed to a protein, their immune system can't flag it as an allergen.
01 — True novel protein
Built for elimination diets.
Most food allergies are reactions to proteins a dog has eaten repeatedly — chicken, beef, lamb, dairy. Kangaroo is the rare protein very few Australian dogs have been exposed to, which means the immune system has had no reason to build sensitivity. The first protein vets reach for during an elimination diet.
02 — Naturally lean
Lower fat than any red meat.
Roo is leaner than beef, lamb, or even chicken thigh — typically under 2% fat in muscle meat. A complete protein source for dogs who can't handle the fat load of richer proteins, including those managing pancreatitis or weight.
03 — Iron-rich
Highest natural iron in the pantry.
Kangaroo carries roughly twice the iron of beef, gram for gram — the most absorbable form of iron a dog can get from food. A genuine top-up for puppies, seniors, pregnant or nursing dogs, and any pup running low on stamina.
04 — Anti-inflammatory profile
Naturally rich in CLA and omega-3s.
Roo carries higher levels of conjugated linoleic acid and omega-3 fatty acids than most red meats — both linked to lower inflammation, better joint health, and improved skin barrier function. A useful daily option for senior dogs and those with chronic inflammation.
