Functional benefits

Why beef
does the work.

Beef is the densest, most satisfying protein in the pantry — the one to reach for when your dog needs real fuel. Hand-cut into lean strips with real texture, dehydrated low to keep the iron and B-vitamins intact.

01 — Iron-dense

Stamina, oxygen, energy.

Beef is one of the highest natural sources of heme iron — the form of iron dogs absorb most easily. It carries oxygen through the blood, fuels stamina on long walks, and is the first thing to top up in puppies, pregnant or nursing dogs, and seniors slowing down with age.

02 — Protein density

Built for working dogs.

Roughly 36g of complete protein per 100g of dehydrated lean beef — among the highest in the pantry. Every essential amino acid for muscle maintenance, recovery and tissue repair, in a form that's satisfying enough to hold attention through a long training session.

03 — Substantial chew

A treat that actually delivers.

The slow-dehydrated strips have real texture — dogs work for the bite, which means a treat that holds value longer than a soft snap. Useful for crate training, settle behaviours, or any time you need a reward that lasts more than three seconds.

04 — Mineral-rich

Zinc, B12, creatine — the lot.

Beef carries the highest natural levels of B12 of any protein in the pantry, plus significant zinc, selenium, and creatine — minerals critical for muscle function, immune response and coat condition. Dehydration preserves them; high-heat processing destroys them.

Inside the pouch

The nutritional breakdown.

One ingredient on the label means one ingredient in the bag — but that single ingredient is doing a lot of work. Here's what's actually in lean beef strips, and what each nutrient does for your dog.

Pick the right protein

Beef Strips.
are perfect for...

Working & active dogs

High protein, high iron — the fuel mix for stamina and recovery. Useful for working breeds, sport dogs, and any pup with serious daily exercise demands.

Growing puppies

Iron, zinc, B12 and dense protein — the four nutrients puppies burn through fastest. A solid recovery treat after vaccinations, big play sessions, or growth spurts.

Long-chew rewards

Real texture, real bite — beef strips hold value longer than soft snap treats. Useful for settle work, crate training, or any reward that needs to last.

A note on red-meat sensitivity.

Beef is a more common allergen for some dogs than poultry. If your pup reacts to red meat, our Roo Strips or Chicken Delights.

How we make it

From fillet to finished pouch.

Every protein in the pantry has its own dehydration profile. Beef has more open muscle structure than poultry — moisture moves out faster, but the strips need careful slicing to keep dehydration even across the batch.

Hand-cut beef on the dehydrator trayLoaded · 70°C · 8–10 hours
  1. STEP 01

    Source

Australian-sourced lean beef, human-grade. Whole muscle cuts only — no fatty trim, no by-products, no “meat meal.”

  2. STEP 02

    Hand-cut

Each cut is sliced thin and lengthwise by hand. Uniform thickness is what controls dehydration time — and what gives every strip the same satisfying chew.

  3. STEP 03

    Slow dehydrate

Dried at 70°C for 8–12 hours depending on thickness — low enough to preserve heme iron, B-vitamins and creatine, hot enough to be food-safe.

  4. STEP 04

    Pack fresh

Cooled, weighed and pouched in our Prahran kitchen within hours of dehydration. Sealed without preservatives — fresh batches, never warehoused.

A note on natural variation

Hand-cut, hand-formed, no two pieces alike. Every batch is shaped by hand in our Prahran kitchen, so size, shape and colour will vary slightly from pouch to pouch — and that’s exactly the point. It’s the proof of small-batch.

The source

Australian. Human-grade. Traceable.

Every cut that goes into a Beef Strips pouch is Australian-sourced from human-grade suppliers — the same standard a butcher or restaurant would buy at, never the “pet-grade” trim the mass market relies on.

That choice costs more, but it's non-negotiable. Pet-grade ingredients can include slaughterhouse trim, downed animals and meat unfit for human consumption — all legal in Australia, all common in commercial dog treats. We don't go anywhere near it.
